For games such as Dark Souls, a controller was definitely needed for playability and I’m quite pleased that Major Nelson from Xbox has announced PC drivers for the Xbox One controller.

The new drivers allows the controller to be recognised by Windows and is usable in games that features the Xbox 360 controller support. All you need is a micro-USB cable and a spare USB port with the drivers installed and you are all good to go.

Drivers can be downloaded via the Major Nelson Blog here. It will also be part of a future update on Windows.

Also notice the photo Major Nelson posted. It’s teasing some sort of Halo 2 port for Windows 7/8? Halo 2 on PC was previously only available on that dreadful Windows Vista OS. Interesting.
