Looks like Amazon has leaked the Rock Band 4 details a lot of us have been waiting for, listing that the game will be out on the 6th of October (in the US, at least) and will be rather pricey – which is to be expected.
The edition that’s been leaked is the Band-In-A-Box Edition, which comes with a Wireless Fender Strat Guitar (which lasts up to 30 hours on 2 AA batteries), a Wireless Drum Kit with a metal-reinforced kick pedal and wooden drumsticks, a stage-grade USB microphone with 48KHz Audio Quality with an extra-long 15ft (4.6m) cable and of course, a copy of the game.
The RRP that Amazon has listed for the Band-In-A-Box Edition is $249.99 USD, which could convert to really anything for us Aussies. The recently announced Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition was 119 USD and it ended up being 189.95 AUD, so this could be anywhere from $300 AU to $450 AU. Let’s hope it doesn’t go that high, as we’d be getting into console pricing territory.
The listing still hasn’t been taken down, and I’ve snapped a few screenshots just in case it does – but for now, you’re totally free to go over and have a look at what Rock Band 4’s biggest edition will offer. While I was writing this I did notice the address bar on the Amazon listing is a little different to that of a normal pre-order listing – maybe it’s me just being paranoid, but it does seem a little odd and something to take note of.
Rock Band 4 will be launching on the 6th of October (according to the leak) and will be out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can check out our cover story on what we want Rock Band 4 to offer here.
