PlayStation First Games Debuting at PAX Australia

PlayStation and AIE (Academy of Interactive Entertainment) are teaming with local Australian indie game studio Nnooo to identify and train students under the PlayStation First programme.

The PlayStation First programme provides support to the indie development scene by giving access to the full PlayStation software (SDK) and development hardware for teaching purposes in computer engineering, programming and software development and game design.

During PAX Australia 2015, the PlayStation First stand will feature eight students showcasing and providing demos of their current games in development.

  • Rumble Academy
  • Retrovision
  • Desperate Mile
  • Necroman

“Today’s students are the next generation of game developers, and partnering them with an established and respected developer and publisher like Nnooo will help drive exciting new titles coming out of Australia. Through sharing knowledge, mentorship, equipment and the best opportunities for exposure, PlayStation First aims to give students the chance to cut their teeth on console game development early in their career.” – Head of PlayStation First, Dr Maria Stukoff

If you’re attending PAX Australia 2015 this weekend, be sure to check out the booth.
