World of Tanks comic book series rolling out this week
Wargaming and Dark Horse Comics have teamed up to launch a World of Tanks comic book series which is launching this week on August 31st. Available in physical and digital, the comic series is inspired by the game and will be written by Garth Ennis whom is best known for Preacher.
The comic series will follow a young in-experienced crew of British tankers set in 1944 as they take on veteran German tankers across France in WW2.
“As we explored the idea of a World of Tanks comic book, the first priority was ensuring that we told an authentic and historically based tale of combat that was in line with Warming’s commitment to military authenticity,” stated Erik Whiteford, Wargaming’s Director of Marketing.
“Having the leading writer in the war comic genre, Garth Ennis, and legendary illustrator, Carlos Ezquerra, as the creative team behind World of Tanks: Roll Out guaranteed the execution of a story in true Wargaming fashion; gritty and packed with realistic and pulse-pounding tank combat.”
Wargaming will also be releasing a series of in-game premium tank bundles which features iconic hero tanks from the comic book storyline. Not only can you read about the stories but live them on the battlefield in-game as well.
