League of Legends: LG Dire Wolves team heading to South Korea for pre-season bootcamp

LG Dire Wolves has announced that their League of Legends team will be heading to Busan, South Korea from tomorrow to train for three-weeks before the OPL season begins in January 2017. The team will be setting up scrims with LCK, Challengers Korea, LMS and LJL teams as well as climbing the Korean solo queue ladder ranks.

“It’s exciting to be the first ever OPL team to bootcamp in South Korea. There’s a lot of work to be done to get where we want to be and I’m confident this bootcamp will be another major stepping stone.” mentioned Nathan “Rippii” Mott, Founder and CEO.

The team will also be joined by Shern “Shernfire” Tai, a Malaysian-born Jungler who grew up in Australia and previously played for Dire Wolves as a sub and NA Challenger ‘Dream Team’.

The bootcamp is a great move for a local team allowing them to explore how other regions play and ultimately learn from the best to improve themselves. 2017 is shaping up to be quite an interesting one for our local OPL scene.
