ESL Australia has announced the return of the ESL AU & NZ Championship featuring more seasons, more prize money and action. Announced titles are Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Rocket League which feature a total $17,500 prize pool in Season One.

In Season One of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the invited teams will compete for a $10,000 prize pool and will see a mixture of invited teams and a closed online qualifier to determine the final eight for the season. The season will also feature an offline final.

The invited teams are: Avant Garde, Legacy Esports, Team Exile5, Animal Squad, Corvidae and Cypher. Once the final eight teams have been confirmed, the season kicks off on February 27th, 2017.

The ESL AU & NZ Championship will also feature the addition of Rocket League. For the first time in Australia and New Zealand, teams will be able to qualify for the eight team league which includes a prize pool of $7,500 and a live final.

The invitational qualifier for Rocket League kicks off on February 14th, 2017 with the open qualifiers on February 19th and February 25th, 2017. The season kicks off on February 28th, 2017.
