Throwdown Esports announces Season 2 with $32K Prize Pool

More Rocket League, CSGO and League of Legends action

Throwdown Esports is back and bigger than ever with Season 2 being announced. The new season will continue its three game line-up: Rocket League, League of Legends and CS:GO with a total of $32,000 up for grabs.

Announced last week, Throwdown’s Rocket League Oceania Championship is the official qualifier event for Rocket League Championship Series World Championships (RLCS) as teams from region compete for a $20K prize pool and two spots at the world championship. Over 100+ teams signed-up for the championship since registrations opened. The open qualifier will be broadcast on Twitch this Sunday at 11 AM AEST.

The Pro-Am tournaments for League of Legends and CS:GO will also return this season with a total of $12,000 prize pool collectively. Amateur players will compete for a spot in the finals where they’ll go head to head alongside pro players.

After a successful season one live final, the Season Two event will now be spread over two days – May 20 & 21 in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter. Further details about the live finals will be announced at a later date.
