Hi-Rez Studios has announced that SMITE and Paladins are returning to PAX Australia 2017 this year for the Hi-Rez Oceania Championships. The event will see a total of 8 teams compete for a $50,000 prize pool and a path to the World Championships in Atlanta early next year.

SMITE OPL will feature a $35,000 prize pool where the final four from the league will fight it out on stage for that ticket to HRX 2018 in January. The Paladins Global Series Oceania will also be featured with a $15,000 prize pool and a spot at HRX 2018.

“We love coming to Australia, and this will be the second time Hi-Rez has been to PAX Australia. We’re excited to bring the finals of the SMITE Oceania Pro League and Paladins Global Series Oceania to the fans, and proud to have our finals in the home of sport in Australia, Melbourne,” said Steven “HiRezCooper” Cooper, Hi-Rez Esports Manager.

The matches will take place at the PAX Arena booth on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. Attendees can get their hands on the brand new Hand of the Gods: SMITE Tactics as well. For those who can’t attend, the matches will be streamed on the Twitch channel as well.
