Chiefs Esports Club has announced they’ve acquired the former Mindfreak PUBG roster consisting of eDGe, Kritikal, Champzzzz and Potato.

Chiefs Esports CEO, Frank Li has stated “As an avid player myself, I understand the potential the game has as well as the needs and growing pains it will have to get there. Given how much it has blown up both within traditional and newer gaming spaces, I think PUBG is too great of a game to ignore.”

Andrew ‘eDGe’ McLaren has also mentioned in the release “It’s a great honor to be joining the ranks of a team like The Chiefs, an organisation I have admired and followed for many years. Speaking on behalf of myself and the team I can say that we are very excited to join forces and bring PUBG to Chiefs! We are all looking forward to the partnership and what the future holds.”

While still in its early days, PUBG has a significant potential for becoming a big esports titles and with many tournaments and leagues held worldwide especially locally with CyberGamer – it’s no surprise to see some big teams picking up rosters for the title.
