Western Sydney Wanderers vs Perth Glory
PlayStation 4: Rick Tran (RDOUBLETTT) vs Peter Saisanas (Saisanas)
Prediction: 1-3

A disappointing loss to King Gupta put a dampener on Western Sydney’s RDOUBLETTT last week, and I’m not expecting much better this week thanks to him taking on an in-form Saisanas, who has won the majority of his games throughout the competition. If the Western Sydney Wanderers man can get off to a good start, then I think he may have a chance against Glory’s Saisanas, though he’ll have to keep an eye out for those second half blitzes the latter has become well known for.

Xbox One: Joseph Nassar (OhNoAGoat) vs David Cook (HighFly357)
Prediction: 2-2

Both players had good personal results last week, with the latter putting up an impressive display against Adelaide’s FUTWIZ Jamie, nabbing a draw in a close contest. I can see another draw from both of the guys tonight, and for the game to be a particularly cagey one throughout.

Predicted Result: Perth Glory to win 5-3 on aggregate.

Adelaide United vs Melbourne City
PlayStation 4: Zachary May-Burgess (vDreamz-Shooter) vs Josh Wood (joshingwood)
Prediction: 2-4

A big game last week saw Melbourne City’s joshingwood finally establish himself as one to watch in the competition, and I think that’ll continue on in his game against Adelaide’s vDreamz-Shooter, who’s been underperforming of late. He conceded a big goal after coming back from two down to lose to Glory’s Saisanas last week, and it’s hard for me to see him winning against a player who belted his opponent last week 5-1.

Xbox One: Jamie O’Doherty (FUTWIZ Jamie) vs Marcus Gomes
Prediction: 3-5

This match should be an excellent one, as two heavyweights go head to head for the first time in the E-League. It’s going to be hard to split the two, but after a handful of disappointing results for Adelaide’s FUTWIZ Jamie I just can’t see him beating Melbourne City’s Marcus Gomes, who has been in excellent form of late. I expect a lot of goals in this one, and hope that it lives up to the billing.

Predicted Result: Melbourne City to win 9-5 on aggregate.

Wellington Phoenix vs Newcastle Jets
PlayStation 4: Christian Bartolillo (Fweshest) vs Bohdan Ling (BLFifa)
Prediction: 3-2

Both players would probably be disappointed with the result they ended up with last week, and will be looking to make amends in round 5. The Jets finally got off the bottom of the table with a win last week as well, but it was Phoenix’s Fweshest who stole the spotlight after an excellent showing against Sydney FC’s xMarkoHD, who is well regarded as one of the strongest players in the competition. I think this match will be a close one, as per, though Fweshest will take the win in the end.

Xbox One: Justin Josevski (Justmanutd12) vs Dane Crow (Bossierhickory8)
Prediction: 2-2

Phoenix’s Justmanutd12 was unlucky to be beaten out by Sydney FC’s Samer96_ last week, while Jets’ Bossierhickory8 finally got a big personal win under his belt. I think these two will go at each other with a lot of grit, and I’m expecting some big tackles and a lot of good chances at goal. That said, I just can’t see this going in either sides way, and for the game to end in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Predicted Result: Wellington Phoenix to win 5-4 on aggregate.

Sydney FC vs Brisbane Roar
PlayStation 4: Mark Brijeski (xMarkoHD) vs Dino Flocco (Ol_Mate_)
Prediction: 3-0

Unfortunately for Roar’s Ol_Mate_, he’s consistently being thrown up against some of the tournament’s best players — and this week’s opponent hasn’t dropped a game as of yet. Sydney FC’s xMarkoHD has been on fire, and while he struggled to cope with Phoenix’s Fweshest last week, I can’t help but feel like a bit of a drubbing is coming. He’s going to want to respond with a big message, and so will Roar’s Ol_Mate_ — whether he can do it, though, remains to be seen.

Xbox One: Samer Elbadar (Samer96_) vs James Williams (iCripsy)
Prediction: 1-3

Sydney FC’s Samer96_ has been consistent in most of his matches, though this week will be a big test for him in taking on the Roar’s Cripsy, who has been very good. And while he lost his match fairly convincingly against City’s Marcus Gomes last week, I think he’ll be coming into this match thinking he should win. Expect some goals, expect some banter, and expect a good match from this one.

Predicted Result: Sydney FC to win 4-3 on aggregate.

Melbourne Victory vs Central Coast Mariners
PlayStation 4: Moaud Zwed (MuadZwed) vs Kiran Gupta (KyrenFIFA)
Prediction: 1-3

King Gupta has been really good as of late, showing his promise as one of the better players on the PlayStation 4 platform over the last four rounds of competition. He’s coming up against a very good player in Melbourne Victory’s MuadZwed, who will be looking to take a big win for his side and finally catapult them to a first league win. I can’t see that happening, though, and expect KyrenFIFA to continue on with his winning ways.

Xbox One: Mitch Austin vs Matthew Camilleri (StrawHat Camels)
Prediction: 1-1

Victory’s Mitch Austin has been really unlucky so far in the E-League, and he’s coming up against a really good opponent in Central Coast’s StrawHat Camels. The former will be looking at grabbing a big win this round, but I can’t see that happening with how good StrawHat Camels can play when he’s focused, and expect a fairly cagey 1-1 draw in the end.

Predicted Result: Central Coast Mariners to win 4-2 on aggregate.

So there are my predictions for this week’s round of competitive FIFA 18 action! You can catch all of the matches from 7pm AEDT tonight on Twitch or via Fox Sports’ streaming hub online.
