ESL has announced that hometown favourites, Renegades will be returning home again this year for IEM Sydney 2018.

The original Australian roster moved to the states after being acquired by Renegades back in 2015. The line-up has seen many changes but since last IEM Sydney in 2017, the organisation acquired Joakim ‘jkaem’ Myrbostad as a long term stand-in. The team missed out to play in front of their home crowd last year but with constant improvement to their performance at recent events, we hopefully can see them make it to the main stage.

The team is currently ranked 12th in the ESL World Ranking with 512.2 points. They will join the already announced FaZe Clan and SK Gaming plus 13 other to be confirmed teams to compete for a share in the $310K AUD Prize Pool.

IEM Sydney 2018 takes place at the Qudos Bank Arena on May 4-6 2018. Tickets are available here.
