We’ve come to the end of the league stage of the E-League, and it’s time to crown a champion! The title is still up in the air, with leaders Sydney FC and second-placed Melbourne City both in with a shot of being crowned the inaugural champions this round depending on results. As such, here’s everything you need to know about the final round of the E-League, alongside current standings and my predictions as to how it’s all going to play out.

Sydney FC vs Melbourne Victory
PlayStation 4: Samer Elbadar (Samer96_) vs Mouad Zwed (MuadZwed)
Prediction: 1-2

This’ll be an interesting contest, considering it seems like both players will be competing against one another across both platforms! That said, after some great performances from Victory’s MuadZwed over the past couple of weeks I can see him edging this one 2-1 against Sydney FC’s Samer96_.

Xbox One: Samer Elbadar (Samer96_) vs Mouad Zwed (MuadZwed)
Prediction: 2-1

This is where things get interesting, and I have a good feeling both players will nab a win tonight. It’s hard to predict, given the form of both players of late, but I expect Samer96_ to grab the win on his preferred platform.

Aggregate Prediction: Both teams to share the points in a 3-3 draw.

Wellington Phoenix vs Melbourne City
PlayStation 4: Christian Bartolillo (Fweshest) vs Josh Wood (joshingwood)
Prediction: 1-3

Fweshest has been in fairly good form of late, but after a week off I’m expecting Melbourne City’s joshingwood to come into this match with a renewed sense of energy — alongside the knowledge he can singlehandedly grab City the title — winning 3-1 in the process.

Xbox One: Justin Joseveski (Justmanutd12) vs Josh Wood (joshingwood)
Prediction: 2-3

Once again, we should have an interesting match here, though I’m still expecting a big win from the Melbourne City man considering so much is at stake. Depending on when Sydney play and the results from those matches, there could still be a good chance for Melbourne City to win the league and, if so, that’s where I see a big performance from joshingwood coming from.

Aggregate Prediction: Melbourne City to win 6-3 on aggregate.

Central Coast Mariners vs Newcastle Jets
PlayStation 4: Kiran Gupta (KyrenFIFA) vs Bohdan Ling (BLFifa)
Prediction: 3-2

After some disappointing results for King Gupta, he knows it’s time for him to get back on track and into the winners circle once again. He has a great opportunity against Newcastle Jets’ BLFifa, but the match won’t be an easy walk in the park — both players are excellent, and the contest should be a close one.

Xbox One: Matthew Camilleri (StrawHat Camels) vs Dane Crow (Bossierhickory8)
Prediction: 2-1

Central Coast’s StrawHat Camels has been up and down throughout his time in the E-League, though he should be walking into his match against Jets’ Bossierhickory8 with confidence of taking out a win. And that’s exactly what I expect to happen.

Aggregate Prediction: Central Coast Mariners to win 5-3 on aggregate.

Perth Glory vs Brisbane Roar
PlayStation 4: Peter Saisanas (Saisanas) vs Dino Flocco (Ol_Mate_)
Prediction: 2-0

While Perth Glory’s Saisanas had an entertaining draw against Jets’ BLFifa last week, his competition might be a bit easier this week in Brisbane Roar’s Ol_Mate_, who is still yet to claim victory against anyone this tournament. That said, he’s put in some great performances — ultimately being unlucky more than anything a handful of times — so a surprise isn’t entirely out of the question. However, I see Pete from Perth taking this one fairly comfortably.

Xbox One: David Cook (HighFly357) vs James Williams (iCripsy)
Prediction: 1-3

Roar’s Cripsy finally showed his potential when he dethroned Western Sydney’s OhNoAGoat last week, and he’ll be confident going into his final league match of the E-League against Glory’s HighFly357. And while the latter got a big win last week, if Cripsy is on form it’ll be a tough challenge for the Glory man to pull any meaningful result out of this one.

Aggregate Prediction: Both sides to share the points at 3-3 on aggregate.

Western Sydney Wanderers vs Adelaide United
PlayStation 4: Rick Tran (RDOUBLETTT) vs Zachary May-Burgess (vDreamz-Shooter)
Prediction: 3-3

One of the bigger surprises last week was vDreamz’ cracker against Sydney FC’s Samer96_, where the Adelaide man won in convincing 4-0 fashion. Yet Western Sydney Wanderers’ RDOUBLETTT won as well, also by a 4-0 scoreline. I’m thinking this contest should be an intriguing one to say that least, and I expect a high-scoring draw after all is said and done.

Xbox One: Joseph Nassar (OhNoAGoat) vs Jamie O’Doherty (FUTWIZ Jamie)
Prediction: 2-3

Much like the contest prior, we’re in for a great match here between two very, very good FIFA players. I think FUTWIZ Jamie is coming into form at the right time now, and while both players lost last week I can see Adelaide red winning this one.

Aggregate Prediction: Adelaide United to win 6-5 on aggregate.

So there are my predictions for what promises to be a huge night of E-League action! You can catch it all from 7pm AEST on Twitch or via FOX Sports’ streaming hub online.
