The Halo World Championship or HaloWC kicks off in December with the online ladders opening up for qualifying into the regionals that will start early next year. HaloWC started with a prize pool of $1 million and has grown to $1.7 million so far thanks to crowd-funding via the Halo 5: Guardians REQ System.

Microsoft has partnered with MLG, ESL and Gfinity to provide a range of online and in-person live events that will take place around the world from US/Canada and Australia/New Zealand.

The Halo World Championship preliminary and finals begin from March 1, 2016. You can learn more about the Halo World Championship via the Halo Waypoint Esports portal.
