2K Games has announced a sponsorship with National Centre for Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) for their Friday Night Live youth basketball program.

Friday Night Live is a program that includes basketball training drills and “3-on-3” competitions, as well as personal development, life skills and cultural well-being workshopsfor Indigenous young people aged between 12-18 years old.

“Australian consumers are some of our most passionate fans. We’ve already given them the Boomers in NBA 2K17, now it’s time to give something back to the community,” said Alfie Brody, Vice President of Marketing for NBA 2K.

Kirstie Parker, CEO of NCIE said, ““NCIE is delighted to be working with 2K. Their sponsorship of the “Friday Night Live” program means we can host more young people, put on more workshops and – of course – we can now play NBA 2K in our very own Gaming Lounge!”

The first sponsored “Friday Night Live” will take place this Friday (29th July) at the NCIE in Redfern, Sydney. NBA 2K17 launches on Friday, 16th September in Australia and New Zealand.
