During the early hours of the morning, the grand final for the ELEAGUE Major Atlanta kicked off with favourites Astralis taking on the veterans – Virtus.Pro. Despite destroying sleeping patterns for many, the match-up was the game to watch with over 1-million viewers breaking Twitch’s record for the highest amount of concurrent views on a single stream.

Cristian Tamas, the Senior Esports Manager at Twitch tweeted a screenshot of the stream. He also revealed that the previous record was 890,000 viewers. The number doesn’t count the amount of people who watched on TBS, YouTube and In-Game.
