With two rounds left to play, it’s do or die for most of the players (and teams) in the E-League. And with a chance to nab second spot up for grabs, as Central Coast Mariners take on Melbourne City, we should be in for a fantastic round of FIFA action.

Newcastle Jets vs Perth Glory
PlayStation 4: Bohdan Ling (BLFifa) vs Peter Saisanas (Saisanas)
Prediction: 2-2

With both players coming off of losses, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see this one end in a tightly-contested draw. Both have a very good attacking attitude, and if one can nick an early goal they might swing the entire tie in their favour — though we’ll have to see!

Xbox One: Dane Crow (Bossierhickory8) vs David Cook (HighFly357)
Prediction: 3-2

As has been the case for a while now, Perth Glory’s HighFly357 is yet to establish any sense of consistency in his game. And I have an inkling Jets’ Bossierhickory8 will go into the game knowing that even if he goes down early, he’ll be able to mount a fairly big comeback if need be. With that said, I predict the Jets man will grab the win here after the 90 in-game minutes are up.

Aggregate Prediction: Newcastle Jets to win 5-4 on aggregate.

Western Sydney Wanderers vs Brisbane Roar
PlayStation 4: Rick Tran (RDOUBLETTT) vs Dino Flocco (Ol_Mate_)
Prediction: 3-0

Much like Glory’s Highfly357, Brisbane Roar’s Ol_Mate_ is yet to establish any sort of real consistency in results, and Wanderers’ RDOUBLETTT should be too good for him tonight. An early flurry of goals isn’t out of the question, here.

Xbox One: Joseph Nassar (OhNoAGoat) vs James Williams (iCripsy)
Prediction: 2-2

This match should be a fascinating encounter, pitting two very good players against one another. While both favour solid passing play, I don’t think there’ll be enough to seperate the two tonight, ending in another draw!

Aggregate Prediction: Western Sydney Wanderers to win 5-2 on aggregate.

Melbourne City vs Central Coast Mariners
PlayStation 4: Marcus Gomes vs Kiran Gupta (KyrenFIFA)
Prediction: 3-2

With Marcus Gomes filling in for his teammate joshingwood this week, I’m expecting a fairly solid display across both legs from him. His match against King Gupta should prove to be an intriguing one, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see it go down to the wire. Expect some great passing moves here, along with a decisive goal late in the contest.

Xbox One: Marcus Gomes vs Matthew Camilleri (StrawHat Camels)
Prediction: 2-0

While Central Coast’s StrawHat Camels is no pushover by any means, he’s coming up against one of the best players in competition in Melbourne City’s Marcus Gomes. I doubt we’re going to see any major upsets here, and the City man should take the win.

Aggregate Prediction: Melbourne City to win 5-2 on aggregate.

Melbourne Victory vs Wellington Phoenix
PlayStation 4: Mouad Zwed (MuadZwed) vs Christian Bartolillo (Fweshest)
Prediction: 3-3

Once again, I’m going for a draw here! And once again, Melbourne Victory’s MuadZwed will be filling in for teammate Mitch Austin. I’m expecting a fairly open contest in this one, with a handful of great counter attacking goals to enjoy. It may be a bit scrappy, but it should prove to be great viewing.

Xbox One: Mouad Zwed (MuadZwed) vs Justin Josevski (Justmanutd12)
Prediction: 2-1

Moving back on over to the Xbox division, MuadZwed’s displays here have been really impressive, and I’m thinking he’ll be able to beat out a great player in Justmanutd12. It should be close, but I have a feeling the Victory man may get a huge win here.

Aggregate Prediction: Melbourne Victory to win 5-4 on aggregate.

Sydney FC vs Adelaide United
PlayStation 4: Samer Elbadar (Samer96_) vs Zachary May-Burgess (vDreamz-Shooter)
Prediction: 2-1

As Sydney FC’s xMarkoHD heads off FUT Champions Spring Cup in Manchester his teammate Samer96_ will be filling in, and his opponent — Adelaide’s vDreamz-Shooter — should prove to be a great test. That said, I still think Samer’s quality should allow him to prevail against vDreamz.

Xbox One: Samer Elbadar (Samer96_) vs Jamie O’Doherty (FUTWIZ Jamie)
Prediction: 2-2

It’s hard to split the difference between two very good players here, and I feel like we’ll be seeing yet another draw this round. No big goal blowouts, of course, but a fairly entertaining 2-2 draw would be a good reflection of how these two match up.

Aggregate Prediction: Sydney FC to win 4-3 on aggregate.

So there are my predictions for this week’s E-League action! You can catch it all from 7pm AEST on Twitch or via FOX Sports’ streaming hub online.
