The first Australian Games Awards announced; to be hosted at Luna Park this December

Trade Media has announced that the first Australian Games Awards aka AGAs is coming this December. Hosted at Luna Park in Sydney, the inaugural event will see Australian gamers vote across multiple awards within gaming, content and more. The awards will also feature a few esports categories like Esports Personality of the Year, Esports Title of the Year plus awards for Twitch and YouTube creators.

Speaking on the launch of the Australian Games Awards, Trade Media Director, Joel Van Daal said, “I’m so thrilled to finally reveal the event.”

Adding, “This will be the biggest ever celebration of Australian gaming culture, and will give the community the opportunity to have their say. Games are the premier form of entertainment, and we are just pleased to be able to give them the platform it deserves.”

The AGAs is also partnering up with EB Games as Official Retail Partner to provide 200 Ultimate Fan passes to the event for $199 each which includes receive food, drinks, and commemorative exclusive swag plus further inclusions leading up to the event.

Nominations are open and will run through until midnight AEST on Sunday, November 19. Voting will then open later that week, closing in early December. For more information about the event plus nominations and tickets, you can visit the site here.
