Hi-Rez has announced the prize pool of $65,000 AUD for the upcoming SMITE Oceanic Championship being hosted at PAX Australia. The winner will also compete in SMITE World Championships in Atlanta, GA, USA to compete for $1 million USD in January 2016.

The finals will feature the four best teams from the Oceanic region: Avant Garde, Dire Wolves, SYF Gaming and Ivory Gaming. A few Hi-Rez guests will also be present at the finals which include eSports producer, Adam Mierzejewski and two SMITE commentators Kevin Meier and Brandon Nance.

“Australian fans are passionate about SMITE. In recognition of this, we wanted to provide the opportunity for the best teams to match their skills with the world’s best players” said Hi-Rez Esports International Producer, Kevin Meier.
