Star Wars Battlefront will be getting its first free DLC very soon, and EA have showcased the Battle of Jakku in a brand new trailer featuring gameplay from the maps included. This pack is set twenty nine years before the events of The Force Awakens and aims to bridge some of the narrative mysteries raised in early trailers.

The DLC pack will include two maps on the planet Jakku alongside a new forty player game mode called turning point, where two teams of 20 fighting over bases in a role reversal that sees the Rebels sieging a fortified Imperial base. The pack will be available to download on all platforms from December 1st for those holding early access passes or December 8th for normal game owners.

Regardless of whether you’re loving or over Battlefront, the new maps will certainly create a lot of hype for the upcoming film – plus you’ve got to admit, that crashing Star Destroyer is pretty damn spectacular.

Star Wars Battlefront is available right now on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
