Gearbox and 2K Games has announced post-launch plans for the upcoming Battleborn which will see free characters and paid story add-on packs.
Similar to the setup of Borderlands, the game will see 5 paid packs each containing one new story, skins and taunts. These packs will cost $4.99 USD each or $19.99 USD part of the season pass.
The game will also see free characters hitting the heroes’ roster. Players can expect 5 more hitting the game after launch bringing the line-up to a total of 30. The first hero to hit has already revealed called Alani, a healer part of the Eldrid faction. PS4 players who participate in the upcoming open beta will instantly-unlock Alani once she’s available after launch – saving players the time to earn her through playing the game.
Battleborn hits PS4, PC and Xbox One on May 3.
