There’s been lots of solid reports going around over the last few days that NVIDIA may reveal their new line of video cards on May 6th, 2016. This also happens to be the same day that EA will reveal the new Battlefield.
Is this a coincidence? Possibly but it could be related.
Battlefield has always pushed the envelope of visuals and technology and this will be the next big release for the franchise. Primarily a heavy PC orientated title, a GeForce launch of graphics card alongside the game seems like the most logical step.
NVIDIA has been teasing a release date/countdown after sending out a puzzle PR kit to some top influencers in the media community which points to a May 6th date. This launch will be the new line of GeForce cards which according to reports, will be the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070.

However, it could just be pure coincidence because AMD has worked closely with DICE in the past with Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefield 4 partnering up for the game launches and hardware support. There’s always a possibility that DICE has moved to the green team but we’ll have to wait till May 6th to find out.
The Battlefield World Premiere has been set for May 6th. For us Australians, you can check out the reveal on May 7th 6AM AEST (8AM NZST) on Battlefield.com
