2K Games has revealed the PC upgrade details and system requirements for Bioshock: The Collection which releases this week on September 15th.
For Steam owners of Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and/or Minerva’s Den, the remastered versions will appear in your library automatically from launch. Bioshock Infinite won’t be upgraded on PC because well, there’s technically nothing to upgrade from.
For those who purchased the game’s new, you know when it wasn’t on Steam or on Games for Windows Live (shivers) – you’ll have to contact 2K Games Support here. You’ll need a proof of purchase either a receipt (oh boy, good luck chasing that down) or a purchase confirmation email. Once approved, 2K will add it to your library no issues.
2K has also confirmed there won’t be a single SKU for all the Bioshock games on PC so if you’re keen to pick it up, you’ll still need to purchase them separately. Bioshock 1 and 2 are currently $19.99 USD each with Bioshock Infinite $39.99 USD.
The upgrades for BioShock: The Collection, and the free upgrades, launch globally on September 15, 2016 on Steam at 3pm PT (12am UTC/ 8am AEST September 16).
