The LG Dire Wolves have announced that they will be releasing their Jungler Lachlan “Sybol” Civil from their active OPL roster. The Dire Wolves adopted a double Jungler approach coming into the 2017 split, picking up Shern “Shernfire” Tai to rotate out with Sybol but it seems this approach hasn’t panned out.

“As the first OPL team to implement this system, we quickly learned that it did not work the way in which we had originally planned. We found it was limiting the growth of both players and felt the best decision moving forward is to move Shernfire to a full-time position on the starting roster.”

Dire Wolves released a statement saying that they thought best to release Sybol from the roster in order for him to be able to scout other teams for potential pick up. Sybol voiced his disappointment on social media, but assured esports fans that his goals are unchanged and that they will see him return.

The Dire Wolves sit at 3-2 on the OPL Ladder under the undefeated Chiefs Esports Club and Legacy Esports and play Abyss eSports this weekend.
