ESL and Bluehole have teamed up and will be hosting the Gamescom PUBG Invitational where 80 of the world’s best players and influencers will compete for the $350,000 USD Prize Pool. The Invitational will be the game’s very first LAN event and will run from August 23rd – 26th at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

“From very early on we knew that the success of PUBG was reliant on the passion of its community. We want to celebrate this by inviting eighty of the top players from around the world to compete in the first offline invitational,” said Chang Han Kim, VP and Executive Producer at Bluehole Inc. “It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how quickly our community has grown, and can’t wait to hear about everyone’s experience this summer.”

Starting from August 3rd, Bluehole has also announced that players will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive vanity items in PUBG that directly supports the Gamescom Invitational and charities.

The tournament will be streamed on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube and Mixer across the four days. For those attending Gamescom will also have the opportunity to meet Bluehole dev members and play the latest build of PUBG.
