TEG and ESL have announced that Fortnite will be featured at the Melbourne Esports Open.

Spanning across the two days, Epic Games’s insanely popular battle royale title will be one of many playable titles at the upcoming Melbourne Esports Open. While not classified as a pro tournament, the game being featured will allow fans to play alongside popular content creators on stage, with competitive matches running continuously over eight hours on each show day.

“We are very excited to announce that we will be showcasing Fortnite across both days of the Melbourne Esports Open on a dedicated stage in Margaret Court Arena” said Tim McGregor, Managing Director TEG Live. “For us, this was the final piece of the puzzle in making MEO 2018 a truly epic event for Australian gaming fans of all ages”

The Melbourne Esports Open is being held at the Melbourne Olympic Park on September 1 – 2, 2018. The event will play host to the League of Legends OPL Finals, Overwatch Contenders Finals and a series of other open events. Tickets are on sale at http://bit.ly/MEO2018
