After Riot Games announced that G2A has been banned from sponsoring professional League of Legends teams, the company has released a statement calling the ban “heavy handed”.

The press release which you can read here via Esports Observer has called it “an aggressive attack towards the entire e-sports community” and emphasized G2A has invested over $6 million in sponsorships since 2014.

The press release has also stated that G2A has suspended account boosting but upon further research, League of Legends accounts are still available for sale on G2A which violates Riot’s terms and conditions.
