We’re just a few hours away from Microsoft’s press conference at Gamescom 2015, and while Sony aren’t having a presser this year there’s still a few to look out for if you want to immerse yourself in one of gaming’s biggest events this year.
Microsoft’s 2015 Gamescom Press Conference
When: Wednesday, August 5, 12AM AEST.
Watch: Here
Microsoft’s already confirmed that they’ll be showing off Quantum Break, Crackdown, and Scalebound this year at Gamescom, as well as promising new IP and a few surprises along the way. There’s no competing with Sony this time around as they’ve scheduled a press conference that’ll be held at Paris Games Week in late October. Microsoft has completely free reign at this year’s event and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them throw a lot of major punches and to announce release dates for a few of their big IP’s like Quantum Break and Crackdown.

We’ve already seen EA’s lineup for this year at E3, and EA’s Gamescom conference usually offers up a more extended look at those titles. Expect to see a lot of focus on the EA Sports titles, a possible return of the Hoop Gawd, the showcasing of Star Wars: Battlefront’s Squadron Mode, and at the very least a new gameplay trailer for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
Call of Duty’s 2015 Gamescom Press Conference
When: Thursday, August 6, 3AM AEST.
Watch: Here (will be updated prior to stream)
Call of Duty has its own press conference this year, so if you’re keen for an extended look at Black Ops 3, look no further. It’s expected that we’ll see some new game modes, a bigger look at the multiplayer, and hopefully another look at Treyarch’s signature Zombies mode. A lot of modes for Black Ops 3 have already been announced, so it’ll be interesting to see what Activision and Treyarch are saving for this conference in particular. Esports is expected to be showcased in Black Ops 3 during this presser too, so keep an eye out.
Blizzard’s 2015 Gamescom Press Conference

World of Warcraft Expansion Reveal: Friday, August 7, 2AM AEST.
Watch: Here
Blizzard are holding two events at Gamescom this year, one that’ll be a somewhat traditional media briefing that will see them most likely go into detail about Legacy of The Void for Starcraft 2, the latest Hearthstone expansion, possibly some new information on Heroes of The Storm, and hopefully some news on Overwatch. Later on they’ll be revealing the next World of Warcraft expansion, which has its own dedicated event.
So that’s all of the press conferences that will be held during Gamescom 2015. We’ll have rolling news coverage and opinion pieces going up throughout the duration of the event, so be sure to check back!
