Activision has announced that Guitar Hero Live will be making its way to store shelves on the 20th of October and will RRP at $149.95 AUD.
The game comes bundled with a guitar and is a massive change in formula from previous Guitar Hero entries. Instead of having five face buttons down the frets, there are now six buttons placed upon just three frets at the neck end of the guitar, and players will now have to alternate between those to keep up with play. It’s definitely a different formula to get used to–especially for seasoned Rock Band and Guitar Hero players like myself–but it’s a welcomed change.
FreeStyleGames are developing Guitar Hero Live, and while the game will ship with only a selection of songs on day one, the GHTV mode will allow you to continue your rock journey as it plays out in a way similar to Singstar – where the music video will play in the background with the lane coming down the middle.
Guitar Hero Live launches on the 20th of October on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii U.
