It’s back, the Halo World Championship will return in 2017 with 12 teams from around the world including one from our Australia/New Zealand region competing for a $1 million USD prize pool. Also revealed based on fan feedback, the 2017 season finals stage will feature a group stage followed by a double-elimination bracket.
ESL Australia will be hosting the online qualifiers for the Australia/New Zealand region. Teams will compete weekly for cash and HCS qualifying points for a spot at the Halo World Championship 2017 Finals. Here’s the rundown of dates for teams looking to compete:
- Jan 21 – Online Seeding Tournament
- Jan 22 – Online Qualifier #1
- Jan 29 – Online Qualifier #2
- Feb 5 – Online Qualifier #3
- Feb 12 – Online Qualifier #4
- Feb 19 – Last Chance Qualifier
- Feb 26 – Online Regional Qualifier
