Last week, Activision released the reveal trailer for Call of Duty WWII showcasing the move back to the era Call of Duty started from. With the Call of Duty community used to the fast-paced, wall-running and kill-trade game. The move back to boots on the ground is a major change for the competitive scene so we caught up with Australian Call of Duty Mindfreak to find out their thoughts on going back to it’s roots.
Shockz
After watching the WWII trailer it actually hit me that we haven’t played a traditional cod for 3 years, but now that it is actually back to its roots I’m mainly looking forward to playing a more structured game where your in game IQ actually impacts a match highly rather than flying at an objective with your team hoping to win the trade game.
Fighta
I’m really looking forward for Call of Duty to go back to its roots. The new WWII trailer has confirmed the traditional movement system, which means good positioning is rewarded more so to jet pack Call of Dutys. I’m thrilled to see were the new game can take the competitive scene, as i know how many people have been waiting for boots-on-the-ground Call of Duty.
Excite
Honestly, I’m excited. WWII has the old look which is what people seem to want so I am more than excited, also seeing as the fact my teammates are better on boots-on-the-ground than they are on Jetpack Call of Duty. Not so sure about going straight back to World War 2 instead of making another Ghost like game but nonetheless the reveal looked amazing and I’m ready to return to our roots.
Call of Duty: WWII will release on November 3, 2017. Check out the trailer below:
