Riot Games Oceanic has revealed that Monash University and Queensland University of Technology (QUT) will battle it out in best-of-five clash in the League of Legends Unigames Grand Final.
Unigames is a partnership with Australian University Sport and will see League of Legends Unigames Grand Final will take place alongside 33 other, more traditional sporting events, such as athletics, swimming, football and basketball.
“This final is the culmination of the region’s first Australian University Games sanctioned League of Legends tournament.” said Daniel Ringland, Head of esports at Riot Games Oceania.
“Students from almost every university in Australian/New Zealand took part in the social yet competitive 4 stage tournament and we’re excited to see the conclusion in Perth this week”
You can check out the League of Legends Unigames Grand Final on Sunday, 29th September at Northbridge Piazza in Perth, Western Australia, from 6pm AWST (8pm AEST). Entry is free for the grass viewing area if you’re local but you can check out the action online on Twitch.
