The League of Legends World Championship 2015 is almost upon us. In one of the biggest esport events of the year the Worlds Group Stage begins in Paris tonight, with the opening ceremony starting right on midnight AEST. This event marks the culmination of League of Legends leagues globally after their two 2015 seasons, with sixteen teams fighting for the top spot and $2.3 million in prize money.

While Worlds spans the entirety of October, the first half of the group stage will run over the next four days, Friday to Sunday, with the second half taking place the following Friday to Sunday (October 8-11).

Each day will consist of six matches, tonight’s draw sees a huge opening of Fnatic vs Invictus Gaming, followed by Cloud 9 facing off against ahq esports club. With matches like these to start the stage I have no doubt we’re in for some huge League of Legends action.

Day One Schedule (AEST):

12:00AM: Opening Ceremony

12:30AM: Fnatic (Europe) vs. Invictus Gaming (China)

1:30AM: Cloud 9 (North America) vs. ahq esports club (Taiwan)

2:30AM: SK Telecom T1 (Korea) vs. H2K (Europe)

3:30AM: Edward Gaming (China) vs. Bangkok Titans (Thailand)

4:30AM: Counter Logic Gaming (North America) vs. Flash Wolves (Taiwan)

5:30AM: paIN Gaming (Brazil) vs. KOO Tigers (Korea)

Each day of the group stage will follow the same 12:30AM to 6:30AM schedule, but luckily all matches will be rebroadcast from 9AM each day on Youtube and Twitch – perfect for Australians who’d like to watch but don’t plan on becoming nocturnal for the duration of October. You can also find VODs of the matches right here.

For the following day’s schedule and more info on the upcoming matches make sure to visit the Worlds Hub right here. Matches will be broadcast on the LoL site as well as via Youtube and Twitch.
