Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that Mad Max will be making its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on the 2nd of September, with plans for Last-gen versions of the game completely scrapped.
Originally announced two years ago at E3, the game was scheduled to launch last year but went dark and was pushed to 2015. This has been the first bit of news we’ve heard for a while, but it looks like the time to adventure through the wasteland is nearly upon us.
Developed by Avalanche Studios, Mad Max is an open-world game set in a post-apocalyptic world where cars have become the key to survival. Taking the reigns as the icon himself – Mad Max – players are tasked to survive against the odds utilizing both on-ground and vehicular combat against savage and relentless bandits with the ultimate goal of escaping the wasteland.
Mad Max launches on the 2nd of September in Australia on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
