Madman, one of the biggest name behind anime in Australia have announced a two-day anime and Japanese culture expo at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The festival in its inaugural year will feature international guests and exhibitors, cosplay, live stage performances, pop-up shops, gaming, screenings, and exclusive anime events. There will also be a Tokyo Ghoul art exhibition showcasing the original storyboards and work from the studio.
Among the confirmed guest is (insert fanboy moment here) Yuko Miyamura who played as Asuka Langley in Neon Genesis Evangelion (heavy breathing). Also attending is Tiffany Grant (Nojiko in One Piece, Martel in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) with many more to be announced.
Bandai Namco will also be present at the festival showcasing some of the upcoming titles from Square Enix, Bandai Namco Entertainment, and NIS America.
Tickets will cost $40 for a single day or $60 for a weekend pass. There is also a $290 Madman MegaFan Pass available in limited quantities. The festival will be held on September 3rd and 4th, 2016.
