Microsoft has announced that they’re officially ceasing development on both Fable Legends and Project Knoxville. The company is in discussion with a proposed closure of Lionhead Studios.
Denmark’s Press Play Studios, the team behind Project Knoxville has closed down. The studio previously worked on Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Kalimba.
The sudden move to shut down the projects was prompted as Microsoft Studios ‘focus its investment and development on the games and franchises that fans find most exciting and want to play.’
This is unfortunate news for the developers and we hope they find a new home somewhere else. You can read more about the announcement here.
