Keiji Inafune’s kickstarted project, Mighty No. 9, finally has a release date. The title, which raised close to four million dollars will be arriving on the 15th of September in the US and the 18th of September worldwide.

Mighty No. 9 will be having both a physical and digital release, with physical retail copies releasing on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, PC, Linux and Mac. Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be digital-only. Both PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS versions are to follow at a later time.

Comcept – Inafune’s company – and Deep Silver have also partnered up to bring the game to the largest audience possible. Through this partnership, a few additions have been made. Japanese and French voice-overs have been added and Deep Silver will be providing localized versions of the game with subtitles in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian, Polish and Brazilian Portuguese. Furthermore, both companies will be handling the marketing and distribution of the game.

Finally, an all-new stage has been added that includes a battle with Beck’s rival Ray, that, upon completion, unlocks Ray as a playable character for the entirety of the main game. This stage will be included with the retail copy of the game as well as available free of charge to all backers of the project.

Mighty No. 9 launches on the 18th of September in Australia on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, Linux and Mac.
