CWL Dallas just wrapped up with Optic Gaming winning an intense 5 round grand final against a determined eUnited. While Optic managed to clean sweep eUnited to take the championship, the grand final could have gone either way with eUnited showing some impressive plays which had Optic fans worried til the very end.
For our APAC teams Mindfreak and Tainted Minds, their performance throughout Pool Play was rough as both teams dropped into the championship losers brackets with only Mindfreak picking up a win against Kaliber 3-1. Despite a rough run in Pools, Tainted Minds managed to take a series going 3-1 against G2 esports moving into round two against APAC rival – Mindfreak.
It was ‘Battle of the Minds’ again, this time on foreign soil as both teams clash to avoid elimination. With the game not being broadcasted unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the overall action but Mindfreak walked away 3-2 in what was a close series sending Tainted Minds packing.
Mindfreak then continued up the brackets sealing a 3-1 victory against Pnda Gaming ending their Dallas run. Some controller throwing rage highlights from Pnda Gaming was captured below:
