Emmett Shear, co-founder of Twitch has announced several new features coming to the service during his 2015 TwitchCon keynote.

The company has revealed a new PlayStation app which allows you to watch Twitch from your PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. The app on PlayStation 4 also now allows you to broadcast your games directly without any extra hardware needed in-between. Standard chat and the ability to connect the PS4 camera for face-cam/microphone is also featured in this app.

Whispers is also getting an upgrade allowing you to individually dock them and save the conversation history. You can also create a video playlist of your past broadcasts and highlights allowing visitors to experience your channel even if you’re not live.

Some other technical upgrades like a full HTML5 video player, customizable thumbnails and the ability to upload your own videos to Twitch is also in the pipeline.

This keynote has definitely shown that Twitch has caught on YouTube Gaming’s more unique features. With a PS4 broadcast app and the ability to upload videos now to Twitch, the company has proven they can follow suit.
