Razer has expanded their Blackwidow mechanical keyboard line-up by introducing the new Razer Blackwidow X series which comes at a lower price-point when compared to the standard range.

The Razer Blackwidow X features a stripped down chassis which removes the top shroud of the keyboard for a more exposed design. The ‘military-grade’ aluminium base is now exposed which gives off (in my opinion) a better look for the Blackwidow series. There will be different variants of the new Blackwidow X Series which will feature Chroma and non-Chroma models. Select models of the Blackwidow and Blackwidow X range will also come with the traditional Cherry MX Blue switches.

Razer has started shipping the Blackwidow X Chroma/Blackwidow X Ultimate models but you’ll have to wait till mid-April for the Tournament edition. Check it out on the site here.
