Riot have detailed the community activities League of Legends fans can get involved in during the OPL grand final festivities at Luna Park Sydney. The first of its kind event celebrates the end of the Oceanic Pro League’s two splits, giving fans a chance to enjoy all the esport action up close and personal.
From 11am Saturday August 8 players are able to participate in a range of free activities around the park, detailed below.
Community Hall: Located behind Coney Island, this will be home to the community stage where players can enjoy Q&As with Rioters, panels, signings, cosplay, art showcases and more.
Community Games: Champion-themed games that will be set up on the Lavender Green and free for punters to test their skills.
Merchandise: Players can head to the Popcorn Hall to buy t-shirts, plush, figurines and posters.
Cosplay Lounge: Cosplay Lounge: Cosplayers can relax and repair any breaks at the dedicated Cosplay lounge.
Food & Drink: Players can take a pit stop and refuel at Braum’s Burgers for a bite to eat and to get their hands on a limited edition Coca-Cola cup.
Ferry Shuttle: There is a free one-way ferry running hourly from Commissioner’s Steps to Circular Quay, from 10:30am until 4:45pm AEST. Ferry tickets can be booked here from July 16.
Bus from SMASH: SMASH attendees can hitch a free ride on buses leaving for Luna Park at 2:00pm and 3:30pm AEST. Book here from July 16.
Bus to HOYTS Broadway: Those attending the viewing party at HOYTS Broadway can hop on a bus at 4:00pm AEST at Luna Park. Book here from July 16.
Even if you don’t have tickets to the Grand Final in the big top, you can still watch the game live from 5PM on dedicated viewing areas within the park. If you’re out of state you can easily watch the finals live on twitch at www.twitch.tv/riotgamesoceania or at special viewing parties at Hoyts cinemas around Australia and New Zealand. As an added bonus, all viewing party attendees will score a skin code and swag bag.
