The League of Legends Oceanic Pro League (OPL) will be getting a massive broadcast update as Riot Games Oceania showed off their brand new broadcast studio in Sydney, Australia.
After the announcement that all OPL games this will be played live in the studio, Riot Games Oceania have been busy building a new studio in their Sydney office to upgrade the quality of the broadcast. The new studio features 10 full-HD player cameras, 1080p 60FPS streaming capability, and a wireless communication network for teams, referees, broadcast and live operations.

For the first time in Oceania esports history, all teams will be living in gaming houses and play the whole season in the studio. We believe that these changes will fuel a more competitive league and an unparalleled esports viewing experience for fans
Riot Games Oceania has also revealed some changes in their casting line-up. Jake ‘Spawn’ Tiberi and Matt ‘Fish’ Stewart will be returning to the casting desk with Indiana ‘Froskurinn’ Black and Zack ‘Rusty’ Pye due to make guest appearances. Michael ‘Hingers’ Hing will be returning as host for this year with Nathan ‘Mendrix’ Mendez on the analyst desk.
The OPL kicks off this weekend from Saturday 21 January at 3pm (AEDT) with reigning champions, the Chiefs taking on the LG Dire Wolves. Respawn Ninja will be on-site covering the matches live.
