Rise of the Tomb Raider will be out on PC sometime this month and NVIDIA has revealed the game will be available bundled in with selected GeForce graphics cards.
There’s no confirmed release date, we suspect later in the month but the news of the bundle has also revealed Square Enix jumping ship in terms of graphics manufacturer. The previous Tomb Raider was released on PC backed by AMD with technology like TressFX introduced, this time Square Enix has sided with NVIDIA.
WCCFTech has also noted that the game still uses the latest TressFX which is an AMD technology and the agreement with NVIDIA would be purely a marketing only deal. There’s no confirmation whether the game will be using NVIDIA’s GameWorks software.
The game will be bundled for free with the following cards: GTX 970, GTX 980, GTX 980Ti plus notebooks with GTX 970M and GTX 980M chipsets.
