Hi-Rez Studios has announced the SMITE Oceania Pro League 2016 part of Season 3 with a massive total prize pool of $100,000 AUD.
“Since introducing the Smite Pro League to the Oceania region last season, we’ve been very excited to see the growth in quality and competitiveness of the scene,” said Adam Mierzejewski, Hi-Rez Studios’ Esports Manager. “We think the Oceania scene will compete very strongly on the world stage in Season 3.”
The season will comprise of 3 splits and LAN finals with two online qualifiers kicking off on February 27th hosted in partnership with Cybergamer. The first split prize pool of $10K AUD will be shared among the six pro teams with the top two travelling to Sydney for the CGPL Autumn LAN on April 16-17.
Last season, Avant Garde became the Oceanic champions and travelled to Atlanta for the SMITE World Championship. You can check out the CyberGamer Official Page for more information about the season.
