Hi-Rez Studios has announced their plans for Split Two of the SMITE Oceania Pro League 2017 with a brand-new gauntlet format and $25,000 Prize Pool.

Kicking off with a banger $10,000 exhibition event at IEM Sydney on May 7th – the 2017 SMITE OPL SMITE season moves into a weekly competition until the LAN Finals which will take place at the Cybergamer Studios in Adelaide on June 25-26, 2017.

Dan McHugh, Senior Esports Manager said:

“2016 was a big year for Oceania SMITE; steady growth in team quality, increased the prize pool and Split Final LANs. We were proud to be part of the celebrations with the first ever Hi-Rez Oceania Championships 2016 with 400+ fans.”

Hi-Rez has also pushed support for the local grass root scene in the Challenger’s Cup offering for the first time ever – cash prize for it’s grand finals. The open qualifier teams can also fight through the gauntlet bracket against pro teams for a path into the LAN finals.
