Those craving a music fix while gaming on either a PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 can now access one of the biggest music libraries in the world with Spotify’s official launch on both of PlayStation’s home consoles.

The exclusive partnership falls under the new PlayStation Music brand that replaces Sony’s previous service known as Music Unlimited.

Furthermore, users don’t need to have a premium subscription to Spotify to be able to use the app on the aforementioned platforms, although having one will enable you to remotely control what songs you want to play via your phone, laptop or other device instead of having to suspend a game or app to change the song, album or playlist each time.

The premium subscription for Spotify is $11.99, but those who haven’t had a trial of Spotify premium – both new and existing customers – are entitled to receive one month free to test the waters.

Spotify is available to download now on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
