Namco Bandai have announced plans to release Short Peace: Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day in Australia & New Zealand.

Short Peace: Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day has been directed by Goichi Suda AKA Suda51 (of No More Heroes and Lollipop Chainsaw fame) and developed by Crispy’s Inc. (The developer behind Tokyo Jungle). It links in with Short Peace, an anime movie compilation that features the work of legendary artist Katsuhiro Otomo, most well known for Akira and Steamboy. The title will be a fast-paced 2D side-scrolling action game that features thrilling gameplay, huge enemies, psychedelic visuals and full anime clips.

“By day, Ranko Tsukigime is a slightly arrogant high school girl who lives alone, but at night she is a deadly hitman who coldly assassinates her targets.  One fateful night as Ranko heads out to eliminate her next target, a demonic enemy organization creeps up and threatens the lives of Ranko and her friends. Players will put their skills and quick judgment to the test in an electrifying platforming gameplay that will have them blazing through dangerous, obstacle-ridden environments to run from an ominous enemy looming close behind.”

Short Peace: Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day is set for an Australian / New Zealand release on Playstation 3 in Autumn 2014 (That’d be between March and May). Check out the announcement trailer above.
