Today Activision has shown off a first look at the gameplay of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 in a new trailer, with developer Robomodo’s President, Josh Tsui, taking to the Playstation blog to announce exclusive content. The trailer shows off some of the tricks, levels and skaters that players can expect to see in the full game, as well as how expansive the world is both offline and in multiplayer lobbies. Only the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will have online play, with Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game set to release later in the year at a lower price point.
In his Playstaion Blog post, Josh Tsui talked in more detail about online modes for the game, including 20 player ‘freeskate’ lobbies. These serve as hubs to then go off on specific tasks and missions with friends, all hosted on dedicated servers. He also talked about the Playstation Exclusive content for the game, three iconic player heads (Sackboy, Sweet Tooth and Ratchet) for players to use when creating custom skaters.Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 launches on Playstation 4 and Xbox One on September 29. Last gen versions still have no release date but are scheduled to be released by years end.
