El Presidente will be making his way to PlayStation 4 in April, as Kalypso Media announced today that Tropico 5 will be available on PlayStation 4 on the 24th of April in Europe and the 28th of April in North America.
Tropico 5 is a city-builder and political simulator where players take on the role of the infamous bearded despot El Presidente and rule over the small banana republic of Tropico located in the Caribbean. The game features native 1080p, solid 30fps and remote play functionality with PlayStation Vita for those that also want to rule Tropico somewhere other than the living or gaming room.
Also announced is the Limited Special Edition of Tropico 5, which will include ‘The Big Cheese’ DLC and the ‘Bayo Del Olfato’ sandbox map, as well as an official Tropican passport and postcard. It’ll be the same price as the normal retail version of the game, with Australian pricing yet to be confirmed.
Tropico 5 launches on the 24th of April in Europe and the 28th of April in North America. It’s been available on PC for a while, but this will mark the first time the series has ever made its way to a PlayStation system.
