Vulkan support for DOOM has finally arrived with PC players being able to download the update now. Vulkan, the technology made by Khronos Group allows developers like Bethesda to improve efficiency of hardware, improving the game’s performance. Vulkan was demoed a few times by both graphics companies NVIDIA and AMD.
If your graphics card meets DOOM’s minimum requirements – it’s likely that it supports Vulkan but Bethesda has acknowledge “this is the first time a triple-A game is releasing on a brand-new API and brand-new drivers so there may be a few bumps”.
