Independent developer Hammerfall Publishing has announced that Warhammer 40,000: Regicide will be making it’s way to Steam Early Access within the coming weeks.
Regicide is a new take on the Warhammer universe, utilizing a focus on turn-based strategy, cinematic gameplay and the brutal struggles between the factions of the universe we’ve all come to know and love. The game fuses characters, abilities and environments from its source material with traditional strategy and action-heavy gameplay elements.
The game has two modes, the first being Regicide mode – which pits players against Hammerfall’s Codex Artificial Intelligence Engine in single-player and also allows for online battle through a couple of multiplayer modes.
Classic mode is presented as straight-up Warhammer 40k combat strategy with two playable races – the Space Marines and the Orks. Classic mode also has both single-player and multiplayer modes attached to it.
You can register on the game’s website for eligibility to gain some in-game rewards too – with details on that to be announced shortly.
Warhammer 40,000: Regicide will be available in the coming weeks on Steam Early Access. It’ll be $14.99 US, which translates to around $19.50 AU.
